Amresh is the son of Anil and Kiran Yadav, who reside at Subash Nagar. He has two siblings. All three children are students of Shantiniketan School.
On Monday evening, after returning from school, Amresh changed his clothes and went out to play while his siblings stayed at home.
Their mother, who was busy with the household chores, thought that he would return at his usual time. But when there was no sign of him by late evening, she informed her husband and the two began a hunt.
