SIET to launch learning App in Kerala

The App, to be developed by teachers and students, will have digital content of textbooks from 1st to 12th standards, Mr Aburaj said.

KOZHIKODE: State Institute of Educational Technology (SIET Kerala) will launch a mobile App, Vidya, to ease the learning process, according to SIET director B. Aburaj. The director was speaking after inaugurating the concluding ceremony of a two-day district-level film appreciation camp at Government Upper Primary School, Ramanattukara on Sunday.

The App, to be developed by teachers and students, will have digital content of textbooks from 1st to 12th standards, Mr Aburaj said.

100 selected students from various sub-districts attended the camp. Film personalities Sajeev Pazhoor, Muktha Premchand and Sudevan led the classes. Films 'The Kid", "Minnaminung", "Thattinpurathappan", "Planning", "Crime Number 89" and "Rashomon" were screened.

Mr Aburaj, headmaster B. C. Abdul Khader and SIET finance manager M. R. Raveendran presented certificates to the participants. Municipal chairman Vazhayil Balakrishnan presided over the function. PTA president N. S. Sajith and A. S. Aparna spoke.
