Puducherry: Puducherry Lt Governor Kiran Bedi urged chief secretary Ashwani Kumar to come out with new human resource policy.
Puducherry needs a long awaited well considered human resource and personnel policy, said the Lt Governor.
Ms Bedi also urged to set up an independent recruitment board or unit in the first phase to check nepotism in any appointment.
“Every appointment must be within rules and need based duly approved. Also any diversion of staff to other sister departments the lending department must also be duly compensated and known,” she said in a WhatsApp message.
The Lt Governor requested the chief secretary to order a human resources audit of each department, the way they were recruited, the need, their present position, and even their capability of doing their duties.
