Hyderabad: After bearing the brunt of an aggressive southwest monsoon, during its withdrawal, the city on Sunday witnessed spells of light showers in isolated areas of the city.
According to officials from Skymet, a private weather forecasting outfit, the month of October began with a bang for the city in terms of rains.
During the last couple of days, the city of Hyderabad has been receiving light to moderate rains and thundershower activities.
During the last 24 hours, the city has received a cumulative 0.9 mm of rainfall.
All these weather conditions are prevailing due to the presence of a cyclonic circulation over Andhra Pradesh and the adjoining region in the lower levels, reads a forecast issued by Skymet.
“Heavy rain is may occur at isolated places. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, are very likely to occur at isolated places over Telangana,” IMD said.
