High Court orders probe into files of Bachupally land going missing

Government counsel said the government had resumed the assigned land in Bachupally, Qutbullapur mandal.

Hyderabad: The High Court has directed the Ranga Reddy collector to inquire into the alleged disappearance of land records belonging to assigned lands of Bachupally.

Justice A. Ramalingeswara Rao was dealing with a petition by Mr Malleswara Rao and others challenging their private land being declared as government land.

Government counsel said the government had resumed the assigned land in Bachupally, Qutbullapur mandal.

Counsel for the petitioner alleged that records belonging to assigned land that were worth Rs 300 crore had disappeared from teh Qutbullapur mandal revenue office.

The judge directed the collector to inquire into the allegatios and posted the case to August 8.
