Angry mob heckles actor Dileep, lawyer at FCJM court

Dileep was then brought to Thoppumpady where he was taken to Sift junction, another place where the accused reportedly met Suni.

Kochi: Actor Dileep, who enjoyed a vast fanbase before his arrest in the actor abduction and sexual assault case, faced hostile crowds who heckled him wherever he was taken for evidence collection by police on Wednesday.

The cops first brought Dileep to Thodupuzha by 3 pm under tight security police personnel in two other vehicles accompanying the van carrying the actor. As the convoy passed through towns like Perumbavur and Pulluvazhy enroute to Thodupuzha, members of political outfits waved black flags at the actor.

He was taken to Shantigiri College at Thodupuzha which was the shooting location of his movie Georgettan's Pooram. He had reportedly met Pulsar Suni, the main accused in the case, on November 14, 2016, at the shooting venue.

However, due to strong protest by the mob there, cops were forced to return without completing the process. Youth Front (M) activists tried to block the vehicle carrying the actor.

He was then brought to Thoppumpady where he was taken to Sift junction, another place where the accused reportedly met Suni. Here too, a crowd had assembled and were seen mocking him and taking his images with their mobile. The situation was the same when he was taken to a hotel along MG Road at 6.50 pm. Though the actor put up a calm face till then, he was seen disturbed and at one point asked a mediaperson why this was being done and whether he did not have any other business.

The crowd kept on booing him and praising the police while he was taken out of the hotel premises. The traffic was disrupted for almost half an hour there. Later, the accused was taken to Aluva police club in the night where he underwent questioning.
