Japan firm to set up unit in Telangana

An MoU with ISE Foods was inked during minister K.T. Rama Rao's visit to Japan in January 2018.

HYDERABAD: Japanese food processing major ISE Foods would be setting up a processing unit near Siddipet soon. The proposed facility will also have a training centre in poultry technology. The Telangana state government has handed over all the required allotment and incentive details to the chairman of ISE Foods, Mr Nobuhiko ISE, at a meeting held in Hyderabad on Monday. An MoU with ISE Foods was inked during minister K.T. Rama Rao’s visit to Japan in January 2018.

ISE Foods has also decided to set up Egg Process-ing Plant near Siddipet. Also, ISE Foods enters into an MoU with Pullela Gopichand Academy to provide nutrition support to players preparing for upcoming Olympics Earlier, a Japanese busi-ness delegation, led by Mr Mitsuhiro Miyakoshi, advisor to the Japanese PM, met Telangana ministers Etela Rajender, K.T.R and P. Mahender Reddy.

KTR recalled that CM has already given instructions to create food processing clusters across the state, to ensure that the farmers realize more value for their harvest. Mr Mitsuhiro Miyakoshi stated that Telangana stands out among various Indian states in terms of the enthusiasm and proactive nature of the leadership here. Mitsuhiro Miyakoshi said that the state government should create a food value chain in the state to realize maximum potential of the farm produce. ISE Foods Chairman Mr Nobushiko thanked Telangana government for the speed with which the necessary background work for their upcoming Egg Processing facility near Siddipet has been completed.
