All eyes on Coimbatore-Pollachi bike rally

About 50 Harley-Davidson owners from Coimbatore rode their bikes.

Coimbatore: About 50 Harley-Davidson motorbike owners took out a motorbike rally from Coimbatore to Pollachi as part of the ‘Founder’s Ride in the City’ on Saturday.

The event was organized by the Harley-Davidson India. Mr Vikram Pawah, managing director, Harley-Davidson India and Anandakrishnan, dealer- principal, Western Ghats Harley-Davidson, led the convoy. About 50 Harley-Davidson owners from Coimbatore rode their bikes along with them.

According to the organizers, the event was a trademark celebration of brotherhood, and leisure riding culture in the city of Coimbatore. It was flagged off from the company’s recently opened dealership premises of ‘Western Ghats Harley-Davidson’ on Avinashi road in the textile city.

Vikram Pawah, said, “South India is an important market for Harley-Davidson; it has a strong riding culture. We have received a phenomenal response from customers in the region.”

Commenting on the market demand, Anandakrishnan, said, “Coimbatore has witnessed rapid growth due to industrialization in the last couple of years and it was ranked among top emerging cities in India. For those who wish to experience the dynamic culture of motorcycling, the motorbike will serve as a perfect destination.”
