KOLLAM: The arrest of CPM Kannur district secretary P. Jayarajan was executed by the CBI based on the directions from the RSS, alleged CPM politburo member Pinarayi Vijayan here on Friday.
“RSS chief Mohan Bhagavat had earlier given assurance to his followers that the main leaders of the CPM will be included in the accused list. The RSS leadership had written a letter to BJP president Amit Shah and the CBI submitted the contents of this letter in the form of investigation report before the court,” Mr. Vijayan alleged.
“Ramesh Chennithala and his home department use the ruling mechanism to unleash attack against the CPM. They also calculated that if UAPA is imposed, the court won’t intervene easily in the case. It was because of the UAPA that the High Court denied anticipatory bail to Mr. Jayarajan. In such a circumstance, he was left with no option but to surrender before the court,” he said.
