Hyderabad: Weather to get warmer as wind pattern shifts

January, which started on a cold note, has seen a gradual rise in night temperature.

Hyderabad: For the next three days, mercury levels are likely to rise due to change in the wind pattern, weathermen have said.

On Friday, Hyderabad recorded 33 degree Celsius during the day and 16.2 degree Celsius at night. The Met said, “There may be cold wave spells this month.”

January, which started on a cold note, has seen a gradual rise in night temperature, from 14 degree Celsius on January 1. Mr Y. K. Reddy, Indian meteorological director, said, “The changing wind direction is the cause for the increase in temperatures. Currently, the state is receiving warm winds, causing temperatures to rise.

The forecast for the city is mainly clear sky with slowly disappearing fog or mists. Other parts of the state will witness dry weather conditions.
