Disproportionate assets: ACB raids ITDA engineer's house in Hyderabad

The accused was arrested and produced in the ACB special court in Karimnagar.

Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau conducted raids at the houses of Sunkaraneni Ramesh, executive engineer, ITDA, Utnoor, Adilabad, in Hyderabad who is an accused in a disproportionate assets case involving Rs 5 crore.

Simultaneous raids were conducted at his houses in Vanasthalipuram and Kothagudem.

On credible information, a DA case was registered against the executive engineer and simultaneous raids were conducted at houses in Adilabad and Hyderabad. The accused was arrested and produced in the ACB special court in Karimnagar.

The accused has amassed a house at Vanasthalipuram worth Rs 1 crore and two houses and an open plot at Kothgudem village worth Rs 36 lakh and Rs 5 lakh respectively. Another open plot at Saroornagar, gold ornaments worth RS 25 lakh and cash worth Rs 44,000.

The list of illegal wealth includes Rs 22 lakh insurance policy, Rs 17 lakh bank deposit, three fixed deposits worth Rs 5 lakh each, household articles worth Rs 6 lakh and a Matiz car worth Rs 3 lakh.
