Telangana rivers in spate, cut off several villages

The water level in Godavari at Bhadrachalam crossed the second warning level of 48 feet.

Hyderabad: Thanks to incessant rains in Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, the Godavari, Penganga and Pranahita rivers are in spate.

On Monday, the water level in Godavari at Bhadrachalam crossed the second warning level of 48 feet. The water level at 5 pm was 51 feet with the third warning to be announced at 53 feet. However, there have been no major inflows in the projects on Krishna River. Meanwhile, several villages in Khammam, Adilabad and Warangal have been cut off due to floods.
