Members of non-teaching staff associations will also be joining the teachers in writing the letters.

Hyderabad: Members of the Osmania University Teachers Association will meet at Arts College on Tuesday and write an open letter to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and presidents of all political parties expressing their resentment towards the indifferent attitude of government towards all state universities.

Members of non-teaching staff associations will also be joining the teachers in writing the letters. Earlier the teachers and non-teaching staff members had gone on a strike to highlight various issues plaguing state universities, mainly delay by government in appointment of Vice Chancellors, lack of recruitment of faculty, poor funding and demanding increase in retirement age of teachers.
