Andhra Pradesh to deal firmly with forces plan to create anarchy

Police exercised great restraint in violent incidents at Tuni during Kapu Ikya Garjana meet, says Deputy CM.

Kakinada: Deputy Chief Minister Nimmakayala Chinarajappa, who holds the home portfolio, said certain forces were trying to destabilise the government and create anarchy in the state and the government would deal firmly with them.

He told the media here on Thursday that the police had exercised great restraint in the violent incidents at Tuni during the Kapu Ikya Garjana meet.
The police did not want to provoke the crowds and brought the situation under control without use of force.

The police conduct during the violence at Tuni as well as Kapunadu leader Mudragada Padmanabham's agitation at Kirlampudi was appreciated, Chinarajappa said.

He was speaking after unveiling a police diary at the police guest house.
He said that the police should be alert to such forces and exercise patience to protect law and order.

He said that the police officials had submitted representations for providing vehicles and other equipment that was lost during the Tuni violence.
He said that the police would act strictly against land grabbings, thefts, chain snatchings and others.

Steps were being taken for curbing ganja smuggling by strengthening police vigil in the borders of the state, he added. He reiterated that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was firm on fulfilling election promises.
