BC organisations have given a call for AP bandh agitating against the Kapu reservation and the protest on Eluru Road was part of it. It stopped hundreds of vehicles. The Protesters have warned the TD government that being 53 per cent of the voters, they can defeat the TD in the next elections. They criticised Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu saying that he has been showing special interest in the Kapu community neglecting the Backward Classes.

They have demanded that the government withdraw the Kapu Reservations Bill immediately. Since the day the Kapu Reservations Bill was passed in the Assembly, BC organisations have been conducting protests in various places. They have made it clear that they will continue their struggle until the government withdraws the Bill.
