Hyderabad: Footpaths spruced up for GES

GHMC is replacing the tiles on the footpaths in the central and west zones which will be visited by the delegates.

Hyderabad: While sprucing up Hyderabadi’s image for the ensuing GES, the GHMC is replacing the tiles on the footpaths in the central and west zones which will be visited by the delegates. Even pavers that are in a good condition are being replaced. This was done at Banjara Hills Road No. 2, 1 and 36, Tank Bund KBR park, Jubilee Hills and the roads leading to Raheja IT Park. Works at Charminar have also picked up speed.

An officer from the Khairatabad circle clarified, “Pavers that are in good shape will be repainted. Footpaths have been refurbished at Road No. 2, 1 and 36 for the GES. This road is likely to be used by the delegates of the GES. The head office sanctioned Rs 1.9 crore for footpath and re-carpeting of roads at NFCL junction to KBR to Road No. 1 and Taj Krishna and Virinchi hospital. The work is being done on both sides along with BT roads.”

Footpath tiles are being replaced with tactile from Nagarjuna Circle to Sultan Uloom Education Society, Banjara Hills Road No. 3, Sagar Society, LV Prasad junction, Jubilee Hills and Tank Bund. This is being done in less than three weeks ahead of the Global Entrepreneurs Summit.
