Lured into sex mafia, these girls were involved in flesh trade cases in Malappuram and Kozhikode districts. Though there was an earlier move to send back the girls, it failed as there were some police cases pending.

In a related development, the Tirur sub-collector, who is also the sub-divisional magistrate, will question the officials of social justice department of Kozhikode and Malappuram districts, probationary officers and sub-inspectors of both Ponnani and Kalpakanchery police stations, on August 12.

Arm Joy managing trustee Anoop G. told this paper that the girls' travel permits, issued by the Bangladesh High Commission, would expire on September 14. They should cross the border before that date.

Recently the Kerala Human Rights Commission sought the intervention of the National Human Rights Commission in sending back the four Bangladeshi girls who are victims of sex trafficking. They now live in different homes maintained by the social justice department in Vellimadukunnu.
