60 stolen vehicles seized from Bahadurpura.

Hyderabad: In the first cordon and search operation conducted by the police after the busting of an ISIS module, police arrested five persons who hailed from West Bengal’s border district of North Dinajpur.

Police said they were staying in the house of a rowdysheeter as tenants. They could produce only photocopies of their ID cards so far.

“We have seized five cellphones, one scooter without number plate and a suitcase containing electrical cables, switches etc. We are checking their voter ID cards,” south zone DCP V. Sathyanarayana said

The DCP said the raid was conducted in view of the arrest of ISIS men from the city. During the raid in Bahadurpura police seized around 60 vehicles which did not have documents.

Police said they recovered 56 two-wheelers and four three-wheelers without documents and 280 date expired liquor bottles from other parts of Bahadurpura.

“In view of the recent arrests, Intelligence Bureau alerts and Intelligence cautions, the police is keeping a watch on people from other states staying here without identification documents,” Mr Satyanarayana said.
