Hyderabad: The State Human Rights Commission on Friday ordered the Superintendent of Police, Prakasam district in AP, to submit a report by April 30 in an alleged police intervention in a land dispute at Markapuram town.

The commission was hearing a petition filed by one Bondili Vijay Kumar Singh. Vijay Kumar said he along with his younger sister Kausalya Bai owned a building in 88.55 sqyd in Markapuram town.

A couple of months ago, one G. Rajesh and his wife Lakshmi Lavanya approached them to purchase the building.

As per the agreement, a sale deed was prepared in the name of the couple and they paid an advance. But without paying the balance, they got it registered in their name.

One B. Kasiram Singh was witness to the sale deed. Despite repeated requests, Rajesh did not pay the balance amount, forcing Vijay to approach the local police station.

However, he got no response from there, instead the CI of Markapuram abused and assaulted him.
