The CID was in the queue to interrogate Tawade and had applied for his transit remand.

Bengaluru: Rationalist Narendra Dabholkar murder accused and member of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti Virendrasing Tawade will not be brought to the City for interrogation in the Dr. M.M. Kalburgi murder case.

According to official sources, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has decided against bringing Tawade on transit remand from Kolhapur to Bengaluru for alleged security reasons. "The Inspector General of Police, CID, Hemant Nimbalkar has gone to Kolhapur to interrogate Tawade, who is in police custody for interrogation in the CPI member Govind Pansare murder case. Based on his interrogation report the CID will take the next step. As of now the agency has decided against getting him here," said an officer.

The CID was in the queue to interrogate Tawade and had applied for his transit remand. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has chargesheeted him in the Dabholkar case and the CID is hoping to get some clear leads from him in the Kalburgi case since there are strong similarities in the three sensational murder cases.
