Google asked to set up shop in Andhra Pradesh

In all, 100 faculty members from 96 colleges participated in the workshop.

GUNTUR: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has congratulated the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) for organising the first-ever workshop by experts from Google, USA on Android Developer Fundamentals for the faculty members from engineering colleges all over the state. In all, 100 faculty members from 96 colleges participated in the workshop.

A team led by VVIT chairman V. Vidyasagar met Mr Naidu on Thursday and explai-ned about the first of its kind workshop on Android Developer Fundamentals. During the interaction with the delegates from Google, Mr Naidu expressed the readiness of the government to provide necessary facilities to establish a development centre in the new capital Amaravati. He praised that Google as being synonymous with creativity and he has emulated the work space in the Google model for promotion of energy and enthusiasm among the employees in the plans for the Amaravati capital region. Mr Naidu recalled that during his previous tenure as the Chief Minister, he brought global software giants like Google, Microsoft, Oracle to Hyderabad.
