Hyderabad: A 14-year-old girl who went for a walk on the the terrace of a five-storied residential building slipped and fell to death on Sunday morning.
The girl had a habit of walking every morning and it is suspected that she slipped while sitting on the parapet wall, said the Alwal police.
Varsha, 14, daughter of Nagaraju was a resident of JJ nagar in Alwal. On Sunday morning, she told her parents that she was going for a walk and went upstairs.
Later, the other residents alerted Varsha’s parents that she had fallen down from the terrace. When her family members rushed down, they saw her lying unconscious in a pool of blood due to critical head injury.
Alwal inspector V. Srikanth Goud said, “Varsha was a Class IX student in a private school. Her parents told that it was routine for her to go for morning walks. It is suspected that she would have sat on the parapet wall after the walk and slipped from there. The girl died instantly.”
A case of suspicious death has been registered based on the complaint given by her father. The body has been handed over to the family after an autospy was at the Gandhi Hospital mortuary, added Goud.
