Girls fare better than boys in Nilgiris district records 94.87 per cent pass

Out of 79 schools in the district, 25 schools recorded cent percent pass.

OOTY: The Nilgiris district has registered an impressive 94.87 percent pass in the Plus I examinations. Girl students fared better than the boys in the Nilgiris this year. The results showed that out of 3,213 boys who appeared for the examinations, 2,973 have got through adding to 92.53 percentage of pass in the boys categeory. In the girls categeory, out of 3,821 who appeared for the exam, 3,700 have come out successful adding to 96.83 percent of pass. In total, out of 7,034 students who took the exam, 6,673 have come out with flying colours adding to 94.87 percent pass this year in the Nilgiris.

Out of 79 schools in the district, 25 schools recorded cent percent pass. Arinzar Anna Government Higher Secondary School at Coonoor and Government higher secondary school at Sreemadurai near Gudalur in the Nilgiris border, recorded the lowest percentage of pass by registering 66.67 and 68.66 percent of pass respectively.
