3 persons, 58 sheep killed in Warangal road mishap

According to the police, Kumaraswamy and Mallaiah purchased 58 sheep in Nekkonda and hired a DCM van to transport the sheep to Hyderabad.

Hyderabad: Three persons and 58 sheep were killed in an accident on the Warangal-Hyderabad Highway at Nalgonda district on Thursday morning when a DCM van rammed into a culvert wall and overturned. The deceased were identified as D. Kumaraswamy, 40, M. Mallaiah, 36, both shepherds, and K. Rakesh, 22, the cleaner of the van. Venkatesh, the driver of the vehicle, escaped with injuries.

According to the police, Kumaraswamy and Mallaiah purchased 58 sheep in Nekkonda and hired a DCM van to transport the sheep to Hyderabad.

On the highway, Venkatesh lost control of the vehicle and rammed into the wall of a culvert killing three men and all the sheep.
