TN: Van rams into stationary lorry in Tiruchirappali; 9 killed

Tiruchirappali: Nine people including three children and two women were killed when the van in which they were travelling rammed into a stationary lorry at Thuvarankurichi, some 50 km from Tiruchirappali, police said on Thursday.

The occupants of the van were proceeding to Tiruchirappali en route to Tirupati from Kanyakumari when the accident took place late on Wednesday night, they said.

 

Four people, who were injured in the mishap, have been admitted to the government hospital in Tiruchirappali, police said.
