Thiruvananthapuram: Rainfall likely to increase

Dry weather to prevail after November 9.

Thiruvananthapuram: The rainfall may increase in Kerala on November 8 and 9, after which dry weather will prevail, according to private forecaster 'Skymet Weather.'

Another spell of rain is expected in the state on November 13 and 14 when a low pressure area would move across Bay of Bengal towards Tamil Nadu.

Due to this , the state is likely to receive good rain.

The India Meteorological Department has predicted that the low pressure area over south-west Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka and equatorial Indian Ocean now lies as a well marked low pressure area.

Associated cyclonic circulation has extended up to 5.8 km above mean sea level. It is likely to move west north westwards across Comorin area during the next three days.

Squally weather with winds speed of 30-40 kmph gusting to 50 kmph is likely over Comorin area, Gulf of Mannar and adjoining equatorial Indian Ocean on November 7 and over Comorin area and adjoining equatorial Indian Ocean on November 8. Sea condition will be rough to very rough over these areas at that time.
