Dr G Parameshwar accuses BS Yediyurappa of vindictive politics

The former DCM accused the BJP govt of practising vindictive politics by cutting allocations made to Bengaluru by the previous coalition govt.

Bengaluru: Lashing out at Chief Minister, B.S. Yediyurappa for convening a meeting on Bengaluru affairs without inviting Opposition legislators, former Deputy CM Dr G. Parameshwar charged that the former was practising vindictive politics.

Speaking to reporters after meeting family members of former minister, D.K. Shivakumar here, Dr Parameshwar said, " This is nothing but a case of vindictive politics. If this can't be termed vindictive then what is?"

Training his guns on Mr Yediyurappa, the former DCM accused the BJP government of practising vindictive politics by cutting allocations made to Bengaluru by the previous coalition government. " I know how much funds are required. Trimming the allocation to Bengaluru is another classic example of how he practices vindictive politics," Dr Parameshwar shot back in response to a question.

He warned BJP leaders that they would not always be in power. "I warn BJP leaders that when our time comes, we too can be harsh on them. Let us work together instead of being revengeful," he suggested.

Training his guns on Prime Minister, Narendra Modi who is on a visit to the city to witness the landing of Chandrayan-2’s lander Vikram on the Moon, Dr Parameshwar said Mr Modi should have at least convened an all party meeting at Vidhana Soudha to hear the flood related problems in the state.
