Fake social media accounts: Ramya in row again

Since the second part of the audio is not clear, her short speech could not be deciphered.

Bengaluru: Even before the dust could settle on her ‘POT’ remark on PM Narendra Modi, All India Congress social media head, Ramya aka Divya Spandana has landed in a fresh controversy which could again prove embarrassing for the party.

Union minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda shared a video clipping purportedly recorded at a Bengaluru hotel in which Ms Ramya is seen telling party workers to open fake social media accounts! While interacting with the workers perhaps a few days ago, she is seen instructing them in Kannada on opening at least three accounts, one original and two fake.

Interestingly, till now, the Congress had blamed the BJP for creating fake accounts and trolling Congress and other Left liberals on social media. This is the first time that a Congress party leader has been caught on the wrong foot. The party may find it difficult to distance itself from her statement as she is the All India Social Media cell chief.

Since the second part of the audio is not clear, her short speech could not be deciphered.
