Hyderabad set to receive light rains

The maximum temperatures in the state are likely hover about the normal by two to three degrees at a few locations.

Hyderabad: The local weather bureau has issued an alert for light to moderate rain at isolated places across the state on April 6.

The maximum temperatures in the state are likely hover about the normal by two to three degrees at a few locations.

The weather bureau said the sudden change in weather was caused by a ‘trough’ extending from Vidarbha to south Tamil Nadu, across Telangana state and Rayalaseema in Andhra Pradesh.

There was rain at Hakimpet, Kukatpally, Saroornagar, Nawabpet, Golconda and Hayatnagar. The accompanying wind was so high that several trees were uprooted at Madannapet.

While ‘real feel’ readings remained low, the maximum temperature registered on Wednesday was 39 degrees. Adilabad registered the highest reading at 42ºC.

The city forecast for Thursday will be partly cloudy sky during the morning hours and generally cloudy skies towards the evening. The weather bureau said there was a possibility of rain accompanied by strong winds.
