Three killed in road accidents in and around Chennai

The Pennalurpet police registered a case and further investigations are on.

Chennai: Three died in three different accidents in the city and outskirts on Monday night.

According to the police, S Mohan (28) a resident of Uthukottai at Thiruvallur was riding his two-wheeler with his wife Amaravathi (25) and his son Gowtham (3) on Monday night.

When they were near Pennalurpet, Mohan lost control of the vehicle and rammed on a street side lamppost. Mohan sustained head injuries after his head hit the lamppost where Amaravathi and Gowtham sustained minor injuries.

Mohan was rushed to the Thiruvallur government hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. The Pennalurpet police registered a case and further investigations are on.

Similarly, R Srinivasan (57) a resident of Ponneri at Thiruvallur was riding a two-wheeler on Chennai-Vijayawada highways in Red Hills on Monday night.

When a speeding truck on the highway knocked down the vehicle and fled the spot. Srinivasan was thrown away from the bike. A Passerby rushed him to Ponneri government hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

The Madhavaram Traffic investigation police have registered a case and further investigations to nab the truck driver is on.

In another incident, R Palanisamy (29) a resident of Ennore was returning home after work on his two-wheeler on Monday night.

When he was at the Sathyamoorthy Nagar an unknown vehicle head collided with his two-wheeler.

Palanisamy hit the median and suffered from head injuries

He was rushed to the Stanley government hospital and was declared dead on arrival. The Madhavaram traffic investigation police have registered a case and Investigations to nab the driver is on.
