Karnataka Health Minister admitted to Bowring hospital

According to the hospital, the minister was suffering from diarrhoea and is being administered liquid fluid.

BENGALURU: The State Health Minister, K.R. Ramesh Kumar, has been admitted to government-run Bowring hospital on Sunday morning after he contracted stomach flu.

“The Minister walked into the hospital on Sunday morning complaining of an upset stomach. It is because of bacterial or viral infection caused by contaminated food or water,” said Dr Manjunath K.S., Medical Superintendent, Bowring and Lady Curzon hospital. The Minister has been admitted to the special ward.

According to the hospital, the minister was suffering from diarrhoea and is being administered liquid fluid. He would be discharged after he is diagnosed on Monday. “All his parameters are fine and we would take a decision only after seeing his condition on Monday,” he added.
