Hyderabad: After plaint, jawan’s father goes missing

The jawan was forced to apply for leave and returned from his posting in Jammu and Kashmir after his father went missing.

Hyderabad: Army jawan S. Swamy, whose video complaint against the revenue department for allegedly aiding land-grabbers had gone viral, has now filed a complaint that his father has gone missing since June 30.

The jawan was forced to apply for leave and returned from his posting in Jammu and Kashmir after his father went missing.

Less than a month ago, the jawan had pointed to the TS government administration, especially the revenue department for not initiating action against land grabbers who encroached on his ancestral land.

In a fresh video on Thursday that went viral within minutes, the jawan said, “My father is missing since Sunday, his phone is switched off. Like I earlier stated, our lives are under threat.”

“Fifteen days ago I mentioned that we were receiving death threats. I suspect the land-grabbers P. Anjaneyulu, Sanga Reddy and his son Ramesh Reddy. I have filed a police complaint and request the officials to first inquire with the land grabbers.”

“My ancestral properties have been encroached. While I am at the border protecting my country, the land sharks in Kamareddy district are grabbing my land,” he said. He said he owned six acres of land.

“It is my family’s land and we have been doing farming since the days of our forefathers. But a few years ago, one person named Anjaneyulu came to our village. During the rainy season, after we sowed seeds, the land-grabber destroyed the farm. My family rushed to the spot and questioned the person. In response he stated that the land belonged to him,” he said.

The soldier said whenever they tried to approach revenue officers seeking clarification on how the land-grabber had forged documents and got the patta passbook, they were told to go to court.

When contacted, a senior officer of the revenue department said the case was in court.
