Vijayawada: Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, Vijayawada, M. Bhupal Reddy on Thursday said that the department will organise a voter awareness rally with a slogan ‘Vote is a right, casting vote is our duty’ on April 5.
Mr Bhupal Reddy said that the rally will be organised to educate the voters in exercising their right and duty to vote and to vote in an ethical manner without being influenced by money or liquor and beyond the considerations of caste, creed, community, etc.,
He said that the voter awareness rally, comprising two and four-wheelers will start at 6 am on April 5 and will be flagged off by AP High Court judge Justice M. Satyanarayana Murthy from the Income-Tax office, Central Revenue Buildings, Auto Nagar.
He also stated that various departments, including Income-Tax department, Sakthi –I-T Women Employees Association, Taxation Bar Association, Institute of Chartered Accountants, AP Chambers Vijayawada Chamber of Commerce and Industry and others would take part in the awareness rally.
