Hyderabad: Boy riding sans helmet dies

Hyderabad: Two persons including a minor boy was killed in two separate road accidents in the state. Police have registered cases in both the incidents.

In the first accident at Alwal, a Class VIII boy who was riding an Activa without a helmet, died on the spot when he had a head-on collision with another bike at FBN Colony in Alwal on Friday evening.

An official from Alwal police station said, the victim Md Pasha, 17, was heading towards Old Alwal from Suchitra when another bike hit him head-on.

“Pasha died on the spot with severe bleeding injuries, while the rider of the other bike received minor injuries. The rider of the other bike is yet to be identified,” said the official.

He said, “The boy seems to be aged less than what his parents have told. He is studying in Class VIII in a private school and was was not wearing a helmet. His age has to be confirmed after seeing a government issued identification card. However, a case has been registered under Section 304 A of IPC.”

In another accident in Chengomul, one M. Buchanna Yadav, 45, died and two others suffered injuries when the car they were travelling in overturned after hitting a tree. Buchanna along with P. Ramakrishna and K. Madhu were heading to the city from Kondangal in a car. Yadav saw a group of wild boars and steered the car towards the right to prevent hitting them. Yadav suffered severe injuries to his chest and died while the other two received mild injuries.
