Five Dilsukhnagar convicts in jail

NIA wanted Yasin Bhatkal and the four others to Tihar Jail so that they could be probed for their suspected involvement in other cases.

Hyderabad: The five Indian Mujahideen (IM) operatives sentenced to death in the Dilsukhnagar twin blast case and lodged in Cherlapally Central prison will not be moved to other jails due to threats.

National Investigation Agency (NIA) wanted Yasin Bhatkal and the four others to Tihar Jail so that they could be probed for their suspected involvement in other cases.

Cherlapally prison has a video-conference court trail facility. Courts outside the state have used it during trials of the five convicted prisoners.

An official from prisons' department said that so far there was no request from the NIA on shifting the five convicted prisoners to Tihar.
