Telangana Congress to fight for ITIR project

The party conducted a meeting under the slogan “No for Pharma city, Yes for ITIR.

Hyderabad: Leaders of the Telangana Congress have come together in opposition against the proposed Pharma City which they claim will cause pollution and demanded the state government to take up the Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR) project sanctioned by the UPA government.

The party conducted a meeting under the slogan “No for Pharma city, Yes for ITIR”, which was attended by several Congress leaders including former home minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, former PCC president Ponnala Laxmaiah, MLA T Jeevan Reddy and others.

Speaking during the meeting, Sabitha Indra, Reddy said that the TRS government was neglecting the ITIR project and asked party MLAs to question the state government on the issue in the Assembly.

She said that they don’t want the proposed pharma city in Rangareddy district, which will pollute the area, and that the Congress will fight for the ITIR project.
