Rahul Gandhi to visit Telangana this month: TPCC

AICC has convened a meeting of all Pradesh Congress Committee presidents in the country on demonetisation issue in New Delhi on January 11.

Hyderabad: AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi who has taken the lead against the Modi government’s demonetisation decision is likely to visit TS this month.

TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, who is attending the meeting, told DC that Mr Gandhi, as part of his all India anti-demonetisation tour, is likely to visit TS any time this month. “As part of all India campaign against demonetisation, Mr Gandhi may visit TS,” he said.

Mr Gandhi has been alleging that despite completion of the 50-day deadline set by the Prime Minister to end the woes of the common man, there is no respite in country and people continue to struggle for cash and most of ATMs were non-functional. Congress senior leader S. Jaipal Reddy, while hitting out at the Modi government, said that India’s economy will be slowed down for three years due to demonetisation.
