Flood threat hits 57 trains in Andhra Pradesh, Odisha

The reschedulement includes the cancellation of the originating trains, short-termination and diversion

Visakhapatnam: The Indians Railways has rescheduled the services of 57 trains passing through Andhra Pradesh and Odisha via Visakhapatnam in the wake of the cyclone, which is going to form over the sea on December 3.

The reschedulement includes the cancellation of the originating trains, short-termination and diversion. The Railways would further communicate the passengers about the regularisation of the trains depending on the intensity of the storm, which is going to affect the coastal belt of AP, Odisha and West Bengal along the Bay of Bengal.

Meanwhile, the East Godavari District Collector Ch.Harikiran has declared a holiday to all government and private schools, in view of cyclone threat.

He said all leaves to officials and government employees have been cancelled until the cyclone warning withdrawn.

The district collector said that the officials should alert the people and the control rooms should be worked around the clock.
