Hyderabad: Attender at Vijaya Reddy office dies

On November 4, K. Suresh, 38, a resident of Gowrelli village in Ranga Reddy district, went to the tahsildar’s office and had set ablaze Vijaya Reddy.

Hyderabad: The death toll in the murder of the tahdsildar Ch Vijaya Reddy at the Abdullapurmet mandal revenue office increased to four with the death of Kavali Chandraiah on Monday. After battling for life for 28 days, Chandraiah succumbed to the severe burns he sustained, at Apollo DRDO hospital in Kanchanbagh. Chandraiah, 53, a resident of Rallaguda in Shamshabad, worked as an attendar at the tahsildar’s office.

On November 4, K. Suresh, 38, a resident of Gowrelli village in Ranga Reddy district, went to the tahsildar’s office and had set ablaze Vijaya Reddy. Her driver Gurunatham received over 60 per cent burns and Chandraiah 40 per cent in their attempt to save her. Suresh also received burns.

Vijaya Reddy died the same day. Gurunatham died the next day and Suresh two days later.
