Parivar plans to trigger riots in state, says CPM

The CPM said BJP was employing the tactics of repeating a lie over and over again to make a section of people believe in the untruths.

Thiruvananthapuram: The CPM state secretariat on Friday called upon people to see through the alleged Sangh Parivar conspiracy to trigger riots by spreading false stories across the state.

The secretariat said the Sangh Parivar had resorted to the propaganda saying that Sivadasan, whose body was found near Laha, had died in police lathicharge. They organised hartal in Pathanathitta district with the intention of vitiating the peaceful atmosphere. The CPM said BJP was employing the tactics of repeating a lie over and over again to make a section of people believe in the untruths. The BJP state leadership is leading this false campaign.

The Commission report related to Gujarat riots had found that a similar propaganda was unleashed before the widespread violence.A propaganda machinery on the same lines is at work in Kerala today.

Sivadasan had left home for Sabarimala darshanam at 8.30 am on October 18. He informed the family over phone about his darshanam at 8 next morning. CPM secretariat said the family members had already made it clear. Moreover, the family had registered a man missing complaint with Pandalam police station on the basis of which the investigations were on.

In the meanwhile Sivadasan’s body and his two wheeler were found. The violence involving Ayyappa bhakts happened on October 16 and 17. Notwithstanding these facts, the Sangh Parivar has unleashed a propaganda alleging Sivadasan died in police action, it said.

They want to turn Sabarimala into a battlefield and attempts were being made to defile the temple with ulterior motive .
