Hyderabad: Gandipet lake environs to get a facelift

Tenders for the project would be invited soon, construction would begin by March end.

Hyderabad: The HMDA has decided spend Rs 35.6 crore to provide tourism facilities at Gandipet lake. The municipal administration department has released the funds. The work includes art pavilion, kids play area, public arena, water front development, amphitheatre, viewing decks, food court and jetties

The government released GO No 10 dated January 21, 2019, for the purpose. The work has been divided into 15 components and the project has to completed in nine months.

Skating zones, cycle tracks, walkways, terrace gardens, picnic spaces and outdoor gym would also be provided, an HMDA official said. Tenders for the project would be invited soon, construction would begin by March end.
