Hyderabad: A 63-year-old man was killed after he rammed his car behind a lorry when the vehicle applied sudden brakes to slow down on Tuesday. According to the police, the victim was identified as K. Venkat Reddy, 63.
“He was heading towards Medchal and was crossing Shamirpet, when the incident occurred. The lorry, which was also heading to Medchal was in front of Venkat and when the driver applied brakes to slow down, Venkat rammed his car and sustained injuries.
He was then rushed to a private hospital in an ambulance, where the doctor’s declared him brought dead” said the Police Inspector of Shamirpet, B. Naveen Reddy.
Based on a complaint, a case was booked under section 304-A (death by negligence) of IPC and the dead body was shifted for postmortem examination in Gandhi morgue.
