Hyderabad: Terming as ‘tragic’ Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan praising Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao as the No. 1 CM in the country, Leader of the Opposition in the TS Legislative Council Mohd. Ali Shabbir on Monday hinted that the Congress will boycott the Governor and stop submitting memorandums to him on various issues.
Mr Shabbir Ali said that Mr Narasimhan’s praise of the CM was tantamount to compromising the position of the highest office in the state.
The MLC said that the people were unable to comprehend how the Governor was all praise for the CM when he had not fulfilled any of his election promises even after 2.5 years in office.
“KCR spent public money for his personal luxury and to elevate the prospects of his family members. The Governor has been more or less function as a PRO to the CM and the TRS,” he said, emphasising that this was his personal opinion.
