Vijayawada: Chunduri Sai Tejaswi, 23, died in a road accident at Fremonts ‘s Niles district, California State in the United States of America on Monday late night.
It came to light on Wednesday. She was the the elder daughter of Chunduri Vishnuvardhan and Koteswari and was a resident of Prasadampadu in Vijayawada.
According to sources, Sai Tejaswi, the victim, was crossing the road when the tragedy struck. The police said at about 8.05 pm, officers responded to a report of a collision near Niles Boulevard and Rock Avenue.In the preliminary investigation, officers determined the victim was crossing westbound Niles Boulevard and was not in the crosswalk.
Around the same time, two vehicles were approaching on westbound Niles Boulevard. While the first vehicle noticed Sai Tejaswi and stopped, the second one hit her. Police reached the spot and rushed Sai Tejaswi to a hospital where she died a short while later.
Sai Tejaswi, who pursued ECE from Sarojini Institute of Technology at Telaprolu in Andhra Pradesh later went to California to pursue MS from North Western Polytechnic University. With the support of Central minister Srujana Chowdary, the local MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan is making arrangements to bring Sai Tejsawi’s body from California to their residence in Vijayawada.
