CS reviews facilities for jatara

The CS instructed officers to complete the tasks assigned to them by the end of December & also asked the police to coordinate with other departments.

Hyderabad: State government has decided to make arrangements for devotees visiting the Sammakka and Sarallamma jatara which will run from February 5 to 8, 2019, at Medaram. Chief Secretary Dr. SK Joshi reviewed the arrangements made by various departments at BRK Bhavan on Tuesday.

Addressing the officials, the Chief Secretary said that more than one crore pilgrims would attend the Medaram jatara and every department should utilize the allocated funds and provide better facilities to devotees.

He added the keeping in view developments in the next 10 years, the officers should focus on building a master plan and improving the facilities at Medaram. He stressed on the need to stop using plastic articles in the forest area and ensure that the forest environment does not get damaged. He also said that people who give their lands during the festival should receive benefits.
