Rahul Gandhi discussed bilateral ties, terrorism with John Kerry

Sources said Kerry took the opportunity to understand Congress policies on growth and development.

New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi had a free and frank exchange of views with US Secretary of State John Kerry on several issues, including bilateral ties, terrorism and security.

Former Union minister Anand Sharma, who was present at the hour-long meeting on Wednesday, said that regional and global issues also came up for discussion.

Kerry appreciated that Indo-US cooperation on several issues started during the UPA period, was moving forward.

Sources said Kerry took the opportunity to understand Congress policies on growth and development. US Ambassador to India Richard Verma was also present at the meeting.
