Air India flight from Hyderabad to Pune delayed due to bees

Hyderabad: An Air India flight from Hyderabad to Pune was delayed for about an hour when a colony of bees descended on the windshield of the plane.

An official source from Air India confirmed this and said, “Passengers had boarded the flight and the aircraft was ready to leave. But for about an hour, due to unclear windshield that was dotted with honey bees, the flight could not take off. The pilots informed ATC about the poor visibility and the staff from GMR cleared the honey bees. Air India’s top priority is the safety of its passengers”

The bees buzzed at windshield and circled the aircraft including the fuel tank. It was after an hour, when all was well, and the airport authorities okayed clearance, that the flight took off.
