Khammam receives maximum rain

The weatherman has predicted heavy rainfall across northern districts of TS on July 2.

Hyderabad: From June 1 to July 1, 2016, Telangana state received an excess of 39 per cent rainfall —average rainfall of all districts was recorded at 197.6 mm while the normal for the state in June is 142 mm, which meant a healthy 39 per cent of excess rain landed within the first month of monsoon .

But all other districts, except Hyderabad, have received surplus rainfall. The city has in fact recorded a two per cent dip from the June’s normal.

Meanwhile, the low-pressure area has weakened over the Telangana and light to moderate rain was recorded across districts on July 1. The weatherman has predicted heavy rainfall across northern districts of TS on July 2.

Nalgonda – 54 per cent excess
Hyderabad – 2 per cent minus
Medak - 23 per cent excess
Ranga Reddy 22 per cent excess
Karim nagar – 10 per cent excess
Warangal – 44 per cent excess
Adilabad – 22 per cent excess
Nizamabad – 23 percent excess
Mahbubnagar – 44 per cent excess
