Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam to ensure clean dormitories

TTD formed separate team to look into complaints: EO

Nellore: Devotees complained about the mess and clutter in the rooms of Srinivasam Complex at Tirupati during Dial your EO programme held Annamayya Bhavan in Tirumala on Friday.

Replying to the callers, Bhaskar from Chennai and Sri Venkateswarlu from Mumbai, the TTD EO said, "50 per cent rooms in Srinivasam and Vishnunivasam complexes at Tirupati are now transferred to online and there will not be any misappropriation after April 3. Regarding keeping the rooms tidy, we are initiating measures."

Responding to the complaints of pilgrim callers Krishna Rao from Vizianagaram and Karthik from Vellore in Tamil Nadu over congestion at Vendi Vakili and Bangaru Vakili, Dr Sambasiva Rao said, "The problem inside Bangaru Vakili has been addressed by making a minor queue line amendment while we are looking for ways to overcome the problem at Vendi Vakili."

The EO said that they would study the possibilities to set up a waiting hall for the aged and adding more battery operated cars for them when pilgrim callers Ramakrishna from Madhira and Nagaraja Sharma from Hyderabad raised the subjects.

Meanwhile, Babu Rao from Khammam and Sivarama Reddy from Kurnool complained of not receiving Saptagiri magazine in spite of paying the subscription amount. TTD EO said the copies will be delivered to them in three days.

The EO instructed the vigilance wing to identify hawkers collecting money after forcing devotees to wear Tirunamam immediately when a pilgrim from Vellore brought this to his notice.

Dr Sambasiva Rao promised to verify and correct the situation when a pilgrim caller Srinivas of Tirupati pointed to non-distribution of prasadam in the Prasanna Anjaneya Swamy temple near Govindaraja Swamy temple in Tirupati.
"The motto of TTD is to provide the best possible services to its pilgrims in every area,” the EO said.
