Mumbai: The Malwani police arrested two men for raping their 17-year-old sister. According to sources, the girl — who lodged a complaint with Malwani police station — said last that they had been raping her on difference occasions when they were alone at home for the last four to five years.
After their arrest the men were produced in court and remanded in police custody till April 2.
The complainant is a junior college student and one brother is a labourer while the other is unemployed. According to police sources, the girl informed officials that they used to make her inhale something to make her unconscious and then raped her. Later, they would threaten her into keeping mum. “Their father is an alcoholic,” the statement said.
On March 26, the complainant and the accused had a fight over a domestic issue after which the accused kicked her in her stomach, which made her scared to approach to the police.
The girl was sent for a medical test before her brothers were arrested. The brothers maintained in their statement that the girl had made a false statement and her claim was fake. They claimed that they were only preventing her from stepping out to house when she wanted.
